Ever Think of a Trade?
I was told that in the next few years if a person enters a good trade like plumbing or electrical tehnician is concerned he will be able to afford living next to a doctor in a well to do neighbourhood and have money left over for a second home in the country just like that doctor. So for those of you who would play down the opportunities left out there while you are working for just above minimum wages at slave driving call centers with nom opportunity to get ahead consider the alternative: a handsome trade. There was nothing wrong with it when my relatives came over from Europe and excelled in the garment trade and there should be no onus today! One doesn't have to go to through a university degree program to be financially independent in the future. Just look at the the diplomas gained by graduates of the accounting program at President Kennedy in Rosemount as an example. After one year a student will be able to manage depreciaiton reports, do income tax and perform other accounting funtions on hos own or through an accounting firm if he choses. He won't be a CPA, but hey in this age of increased educational costs, doing this program at just $75.00 a semester is bound to attract individuals good with figures. And the school provides the book! Naturally if you're already a graduate, you'll want to go onto a masters or higher, just the same it is good to know that for many high school students who see the future as bleak, there are educational opportunities out there and jobs to fill!!

On Selling Yourself for the Job Place
There are some valuable points here, the rest is a matter of opinion. In other words I think that it is important to put your most recent information first and keep the older data for last. If the stuff you want to report is older than 15 years, keep that out; obviously that goes for older grads trying to resell themselves and if you think that education is more improtant than experience put that first. But the seeker has to have a feel of what the agent is wanting to see. One agency pointed out that experience should be sketched out with an accent on places and dates. That's why I highlight older employer names and dates. Another agency proposed that I could have two sorts of cvs, one which allows me to express my fields of interest with the field closest to the nature of the job I am looking for placed on the top. The other form would simply have the job experiences listed as most recent placed first on the list, followed by my education and then other interests.
Obviously if the person has no job experience writing down his educational background in an appealing way is going to catch a potential employer who might want to train that indivdual.
Other interests shouldn't be ignored; they sometimes reveal talents and traits that listed experiences don't show. In effest one wants to start with a standard form or a staple resume that can be modified according to the nature of the beast. And it is important to go to job placement workshps to make sure that your final cv represents you in the way you want to a prospective employer looking for those particular traits. The agency is not going to write your cv for you, the seeker has to show them that he/she wants to sell himself a certain way. Remember to keep resumes up to date as new experience comes in, this is especially important when the seeker has an old on-line resume and wants to apply to a current job!In the end you good can have an excellent resume and a terrible approach, so be positive and stay focused!
